Our services do not stop there! We offer rental equipment to help you ensure you find the right camera, as some digital SLR cameras can be a big investment; or you may need a camera accessory for a short time or one-off situation.

I guess there isn't too much to say about this place.
Famous for a reason, if you're struggling to find a Camera bit or accessory you're pretty much guaranteed to find it here.
Needing a new battery charger for my DSLR, I was facing a potential 4 week wait from buying it online and had already wondered shops in Sydney CBD with no luck. Within 1 minute of walking into the packed store I was greeted by a staff member, he knew exactly what I was after and away I went. I was pretty shocked at how fast it all happened.
Seeing as though they are a retail store, don't expect online prices, but if you're not fussed and need it now. Head here now.
Bought an Elinchrom BRX 500/500 lighting kit with a bunch of accessories. The quality of the goods is amazing and shipping was cheap, fast (VERY FAST) and well cared for.
I am a Canberra Photographer who used to be based in Sydney so with clients in both cities I needed a portable set of strobes. I called up Georges on a Monday, organised a quote from them. Confirmed my order Tuesday and accepted the package they offered me. Gave them my Card details Wednesday, was shipped Thursday and arrived courier the very next day in 3 boxes on Friday. Everything was packaged neatly, and the service and communication was sound, fast, and very ...read more
Walked into George's Cameras 6 months after buying a camera there & said "The focus ring feels a bit sticky" they said "OK give it to me, here's a brand new camera". Walked out again, a bit gobsmacked. I will never buy a camera anywhere else and have returned since. I don't think that they are overpriced at all: I got my X100S at the lowest price available at the time and my last purchase (a TCL-X100 Fuji teleconverter) was only $279 which was a whole $130 cheaper than anywhere else - even overseas or on eBay. Plus I can't imagine that level of service from an internet only or overseas company - try returning a camera to HK and see how you go. Choose Aussie.
Purchased a digital camera and accessories from this store, including a camera bag, SD card and filters. I have no issue with the camera cost which I think was appropriate but now find out that the accessories were marked up at levels which are way over recommended retail and significantly higher than can be purchased almost anywhere else. It was then discounted it to 150% of that rec. retail price. I phoned the store and was told 'buyer beware' and it was my fault in not checking. Fiar enough, but - beware their prices and check online first before buying
