Gold Leaf (Burwood)

One of the many Gold Leafs in Melbourne that food is authentic, fresh and tasty dim sum dishes. It is also one of my favourite go to places for yum Cha with family. Can be a bit pricey but portions and taste is great. Service is prompt and trolleys most of the time are full with many choices. One tip, go early as it is always busy on the weekends. It is hard to get a table, especially for 8 or 10 or more. One negative is that we found it hard to get the attention of the waiter with the many people to service.

the wait staff that served us were so rude!!! Tue lunch time, they weren't busy, just standing around looking bored, after waiting for 20mins, we asked them if we can make an order for prawn dumplings, they looked annoyed and told us "no, just wait" and then goes back to just standing around looking bored. Complained to a management staff, the management staff who showed no interest in what we had to say, ignored us and turned to talk to someone else straight away. That just left me speechless. Food was very average and over priced! Never ever going back, I just don't understand why they think they can treat people the way they do, and why are they so popular??

A popular restaurant for yum cha. Reasonably priced, service is good and friendly with plenty of selections. Staff are fluent in Cantonese and English. Food is average taste-wise. Booking is recommended as this place gets really busy especially on special days.

My favourite Yum Cha restaurant here in Melbourne. Very wide range of menu and reasonably priced ! A perfect place to have a good family yum cha! But make sure you book your seat first, it is really crowded. And when you already booked, make sure you come there on time because they give you time limit (which I don't mind and it perfectly make sense because it is a really busy restaurant). Service? well.. a typical Chinese restaurant kind of service, everything's quick and fast (people might think it's a bit rough, but bear with it. it is what it is). TOTALLY RECOMMENDED ! (ps. make sure you try their mango sagoo dessert. heaven..)

The food here is very reasonably priced and very tasty. Recommended.
