I was after a particular product and asked the first staff member where it was located. After searching the shelves they admitted they had no idea and that I'd have to be served by the other staff member. Once I asked I, was bombarded with questions about why I needed it and told that I should be seeing a doctor, not just buying this product. I felt embarrassed as the other customers in the store now had a detailed knowledge of my ailment, and although I was eventually sold the product (at a price much dearer than elsewhere), I will NEVER return. Disgusting.
Just came across your post and I take your concerns on board. Our staff undergo continuous training and accreditation to ensure the best health outcome for our customers. They have a duty a of care to ensure that any medication supplied is both appropriate for the condition and safe for the customer. They may have to ask many questions to ensure this and sometimes, in their opinion, it may be more appropriate to advise the customer to see a Doctor instead of buying medication from us. Sometimes the questioning may seem intrusive but I can assure you our focus is of the health and well being of our customers - our advice is both freely given and free of charge. I trust you understand our professional and caring approach.
