Goolwa Bakery

Best bakery on the south coast! Usually bakeries do really good savoury and poor desserts, or vice versa, but this place does both excellently! Highly recommend.

Very nice food here! They are also located in Victor Harbor on the Port Elliot Road too now, so convenient if travelling from Victor Harbor towards Port Elliot and I can get a park every time. Cheers.

What does Paris and Goolwa have in common?
A patisserie/bakery, that is well established, this Bakery Cafe has been baking first class, breads, pastries, cakes for over 100yrs. We sat on the side walk, alongside the cafe, as you would in France, eating, enjoying a fresh ham & cheese croissant, a fabulous blueberry vanilla slice, with a couple of very well made lattes. Very European. While locals, visitors, young and old came to purchase their fresh baked choices. They sell range of well priced, fabulous pies for tradies, lunches for locals, gourmet food for tourists, decorated cakes for special occasions. (see photo) what an absolute wonderful surprise. The owner and staff are passionate about their food, which is very evident.

There are a few bakeries in Goolwa, but this one, located off the main street is by far the best. Their extensive range of cakes and pastries seem bigger than the norm ... for example, their custard filled berliner bun is a meal in itself.
