Zomato where has my review disappeared too?
It's been a while and buffet is just the easier option to choose. Decent selection and what I had was good
What stood out for me was the substitute duck which was almost the same as the real thing and the char siu was a sweeter version of the real thing
They charge by weight so it's not a buffet!
It could of been because I was hungry but I enjoyed this place
This was only my second vegan food experience and I was actually pleasantly surprised. I went with a good friend of mine who is devoutly vegan and was expecting tasteless mush. However, you really couldn't tell that there were no meat, dairy or generally animal products in the food whatsoever. I had one of the best slices of cheesecake I have ever had here. The restaurant itself is interesting as you pay by the weight of your plate filled from the yum cha style buffet. Personally, I liked this because it means you get a healthy variety of different foods, all plant based of course but you can barely tell. The interior isn't anything special but the food and the experience was pretty awesome, even for a non-vegan.
Once you have been a dedicated Vegan and experienced the limitations of most restaurant menus you will fully appreciate the joy of going to a restaurant that offers a pure vegan, cruelty free and really yummy menu. The yum cha is great as well the buffet is handy if you are in a hurry or want to try a bit of everything that is on offer.
One thing I did notice was that in winter the buffet gets cold quickly as it is situated near the entrance of the restaurant.
This is easily solved by ordering off the menu to fully enjoy the experience.
There is no alcohol served and no BYO so that is the only thing to be aware of if you are booking dinner with friends.
