Had recently bought my VE 2 Commodore (sold to me as a 3.6 litre) and took it here car for its service, and also asked to have a look at the transmission and check the car over for me as well. We have used Hamstead auto for a few years now for repairs and they recently inspected a Hyundai pre-purchase. Honest, friendly and reliable family.
They are straight up about their assessments and don't try to sell/fix things that aren't required.
I live in Adelaide Hills now and still use them - I wouldn't go anywhere else.
Bought a service voucher cheap on a voucher website. Got quoted excessive pricing for basic repairs and found another mechanic who more than halved our costs. Oil had not been changed and oil filter was filthy. No evidence of a thorough service whatsoever and our heater stopped working shortly after the service.
