Salesperson gave incorrect billing information and product specifications when selling me Optus products. Response was very poor, store manager offered me no compensation at first, could not care less about my financial hardship due to poor salesperson.
Ended up offering me a free tablet case as compo once I escalated the complaint. My wife arrived to select a case as discussed. Offered me a cheap and nasty case which I had no choice to accept. No offer to cancel Optus plan or adjust the plan, belittled me and clearly failed to comprehend the complexity of the problems that have arisen from the salesperson’s mistakes.
Terrible store with awful customer service, AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!
I bought a cantilever umbrella paying over $1300 for it and in one of the first uses, a small gust of wind (I'm talking barely a breath) had the umbrella material flip up and break two of the steel supports. Contacting Harvey Norman, they told me that there was no warranty against the weather - wind etc. on umbrellas. The manufacturers will not cover it. OMG - an umbrella that can't be used outside. This is not written ANYWHERE on their website or in the instructions. No warranty at all on them. What a waste of money and I'm VERY unhappy with Harvey Norman for this!! They should have replaced the umbrella or replaced my money - the product was sub standard for it's use.
Organized a photo book, rang Sydney to check progress and was told book had been sent to Fountain Gate and they were in receipt of same on 8th August, no contact from them so rang to check that they had the book. When collecting I received the same total disinterest as I got when I rang, not very good customer service. Staff really need to step up on their personal skills!
Visited your store to buy a washing machine on Saturday and was very impressed with your store and particularly with your staff. Anthony served us and Gavin very kindly gave us coffee, they both were delightful . Also the lovely lady who was making the coffee was extremely helpful with advice on the small electricals and Brandon in T.V's was very helpful. As we will be building in the New Year we know where we can get excellent service when purchasing items for the new home. Thank you to your wonderful staff. From Diana & Mohamed
