Heating Doctor Melbourne

Warning!!! Do not use the Heating Doctor. They contract their jobs to other services but don't tell you this when you contact them. They don't take any responsibility when their service people can't do the job. In my case, I contacted the Heating Doctor via Robert to explain that their service person had spent 3.5 hours working on the heater and told me it was fixed. However, when I turned the heater on later that day the same problem was present. I explained that given I had paid his service person $480 I would like the Heating Doctor to supply a service person who could diagnose the problem and fix the heater as the original service person had appeared to be out of his depth. Robert said that it was not the Heating Doctors problem as they were only contractors and it was up to the service person to fix the heater. We contacted Heating Doctor Melbourne about a faulty hydronic heating system. A guy from KM Heating & Cooling Professionals & Plumbers Inc came, presumably subcontractors? They charged us over $400 for the visit, and quoted over $2,000 +GST to do the repair. Said he'd require a 50% deposit to order parts, and could fix the heating in a weeks time. We paid the $400, he left us with the heating system in the same broken condition as when he'd arrived. Despite our outlay, we were suspicious enough to arrange another company to review. They charged $475 for the visit, to assess the issue and repair the problem on the spot. Problem was different to what Heating Doctors / KM Heating & Cooling had diagnosed. They also advised the quote from Heating Doctor Melbourne / KM Heating and Cooling Plumbers was grossly inflated even for the repair they had said needed doing. Avoid these shifty contractors at all costs!
