Heritage Country Motel

On the afternoon of February 14th we arrived at the Armadale Heritage Motel for our wedding night. As we approached our room (22) we noticed the wood trimming hanging off the front door. As we proceeded to go inside we were sadly disappointed as we were told on the phone that we were getting a newly renovated room which number 22 was obviously not.

The freezer in the fridge was so iced over that we could not put anything in it and so the fridge would not work properly. The air conditioner was so old and noisy that it battled to work and we were hot all night. The bed sheets had a hole. There was a nail protruding from the doors to the balcony. Plaster missing from the wall next to the front door. There was rust in the bath and the clothes line was broken.

Our wedding night was spoilt as we could not believe how we could have been given a room like that knowing it was our special night.
