All rooms are air conditioned en-suites with television, fridge and tea and coffee facilities. The apartment unit has 2 rooms in it and has a kitchenette and lounge. Other rooms have different bedding combination to suit different guests. The common facilities include free Foxtel channels, a swimming pool, a guest laundry, a barbecue area and ample parking. At the office the motel has copying, faxing, scanning, printing and Internet facilities. The Hi-Way Motel is good for all travellers.

It’s not really the owner’s fault that you have to deal with trucks roaring past at all hours of the night, particularly since it is located not only on the outskirts of town, but also on the main road that bypasses the town. However, the fact that they don’t charge through the nose for a room for the night is a pretty good thing, and somehow mitigates that problem. I should also mention that the owners are pretty helpful, and they will look after your bags if you need someplace to store them for the day, as I did.
