Bringing Hip Hop to East GippslandHigh Society Dance started in Bairnsdale by Owner/Director, Bec Blennerhassett, in early 2015 as a Hip Hop Varsity Performance Crew of just 12 people. Within just 6 short months High Society was becoming a well known name within the community. High Society had held several Showcases and Workshops, performed at different community events and competitions and even represented Victoria at World Supremacy Battlegrounds National Championships.
High Society Dance is now a studio offering Hip Hop, Contemporary, Acro, Technique and Ballet and Hip Hop Fitness and Kinder classes from ages 4 and up. We are also not just one crew anymore but a family of crews of all different ages. The crews give country kids the opportunity to meet and bond with new people and experience things they would not get to otherwise.
With Showcases, Concerts, community performances and 5+ different competitions in our calendar every year, there is always something going on at High Society.
Owner/Director, Bec Blennerhassett, is a big believer that positive environments create positive experiences and learning. I couldn't be more happy with high society, it's professional and organised. My daughter has gained so much confidence since dancing with high society.
I've alway's wanted to dance, when started high school and i still do. I wan't to start dancing soon as possiable. I'm not really fit, but i will be soon for this if i get in. I dance at home when i'm by myself and i love it. I'm not a really good dancer, but i hope that will all change soon.
High Society Dance is the best dance school in town. Bec brings a fresh approach to hip hop and has added many other classes to her school. I had the priveledge of having High Sociaty dancers perform with me recently for my birthday show and I look forward to having them on my team for future events. Congratulations on creating such a wonderful dance school!!!
