That would be a zero if possible. My son had cold/covid symptoms on Friday so did the right thing and stayed home from school. Because of VCE attendance requirements, needed a certificate. Could not get an appointment on Friday. Clinic screening about covid symptoms stated he needed to do a telehealth for first available appointment on Saturday evening. Doctor then sent through a "Patient declaration" certificate saying my son "is stating he was unable to study ... due to a medical condition but was not seen by any doctor in this clinic." Reception staff said because he was not seen on Friday could not backdate certificate, but he still had mild symptoms on Saturday when did telehealth. Since when do you have to attend on first day of illness to get whole period covered by certificate? Especially when you can't get an appointment and when told by clinic not to attend in person so illness can be properly assessed. Very unhappy with implication my ...read more
I've been going here for years and it's always been great. I've seen multiple doctors and the service has always been good. Sometimes I have to wait, no bother, sometimes the doctors are different, no bother. I've been x-rayed here, had a scan, used the pathologist, been looked after (a few times) by different nurses. It's a one stop shop for a lot of different services.
I've seen some good doctors here, and I've seen two doctors with zero compassion and bedside manner. It's a mixed bag. But what I cannot abide is this one receptionist, Margaret. She is ALWAYS rude, unhelpful and is pretty much on a power trip. She is the last person one should have to deal with when they're ill. I hope her superiors address this with her. Dealing with people is too important an aspect of her job for her to be so awful at it.
+ It is full bulk-billing for Everyone. You only handover your Medicare Card when you arrive to be put in the queue, and walk out after being seen. No payment.
+ You walk in and wait. No wasted booking times at regular GPs. Have been 5 times now and have never waited longer than 15 minutes - however this is very dependent on time of day you go. If you are prepared to see any doctor you're going to be seen pretty fast. Call ahead first (and sit on hold for 10 mins) to see how many doctors are working. The more the faster. Time it.
+ Xray Ultrasound etc all there and again Free. Need a referral from GP first, takes appointments.
+ Pathology (Dorovitch) onsite for a large number of tests to be ...read more
I would NOT recommend the Dentists here. Every couple of months, there is a new dentist. Just when you get started with one dentist, you are then introduced to another one. What a joke! Each time you are introduced to a new dentist, you are required to pay again for another check-up although all your x-rays and procedures you need to do are already on file. Do yourself a big favour and find another local dentist you can rely on. Their basic procedures are extremely expensive, don't bother.
