From time at a conference here I've got the impression that the facade of this hotel is impressive (everything is certainly formal, polite and clean) but the actual service and products are overpriced for what you end up with.
Most participants stayed elsewhere in the area with suitable facilities for a much better price than what they offered.
The meals and snacks provided including a formal dinner were adequate and elegant but again not impressive for what I'd expect.
Stay if you've got the money & want the prestige and closeness to the MCG (right across the road).
Hilton On The Park normally caters for business group types but recently is catering for more family groups and school groups, offering a great buffet breakfast, ballrooms for all occasions and good quality for your money Hilton On The Park is a sure 5 star hotel to consider when staying in Melbourne....
