My name is Michael Boyle. I am a licensed builder with 30 years experience. I have done numerous large projects. For the last 10 years I have mainly concentrated on structural alterations in conjunction with structural engineers.
I can also do any kind of carpentry and brickwork that may be required on larger jobs. I prefer to do all the more difficult work, then recommend trades for the finishing work i.e. waterproofing, tiling, rendering, gib rocking etc, which the owner can oversee. I find this works well for the owner as he then does not have to pay for my time supervising the other trades.
All structural work must be accompanied by a Structural Engineers Report which you can provide or I can recommend a reputable engineer. I have found the best process is for me to visit the site and give you a quote. That quote is then reliant on a Structural Engineers Report. The advantage of this is if the quote proves to be too expensive, the cost of the Structural Engineers Report is saved. I find because I have had lots of experience that those quotes hold up very well.
