We were disappointed, but the other reviews are really good, so maybe we caught them on a bad night? The satay stirfry was very tasty but the noodles were overcooked and soggy. The pad thai did not ressemble pad thai in any way and had a completely different flavour from any pad thai I've ever had anywhere, not exactly unpleasant, but just not what I wanted. And the beef salad, I'm sorry, but it was truly dreadful and we actually couldn't eat it. Very tough poor quality meat accompanied only by chopped iceberg lettuce and shredded carrot. No authentic Thai flavours here at all. Having said that the restaurant itself was very charming and the staff very friendly, a generous bag of free prawn crackers was included with our meal. Such a nice little unassuming restaurant tucked away in the beautiful hillside town of Belgrave. With friendly staff, delicious food, and reasonable prices Honey Thai is a must for those spending the day in the hills who are looking for a nice spot to have dinner.
The food is generously portioned, the service is extremely friendly but not over-the-top, and the prices are just about spot on.
The Pad See Ewe is delicious with beautifully cooked chicken, and strong soy flavours its definitely my favourite dish on the menu.
The chicken satay are a great entree to share between 2 (or 4 if youre feeling generous!), because they are pretty big and full of flavour!
The restaurant is simple, so dont expect anything extravagant just a nice little restaurant with good food.
Definitely recommended.
