Hotel Concord

I like it here cause unlike other pubs down in the city which are pretty noisy, this one is where you can drink beers and actually still chat with your mates. Up for a not so noisy pub for a chat, this is one of the options.

I'm a local in walking distance but rarely drink here. Reason been staff have and always been rude. They sort of roll their eyes when you ask for a schooner if you get my drift. Beer on tap here is pretty ordinary. Has that scungy taste to it so I presume they don't flush their lines properly.Recently they fixed the whole place up to resemble a boutique type wine tavern but sadly it's taken away the pubs character.

I only stopped there to grab some takeaway beers last night and found the place to be great and as I just live down the road I will be having a meal there in the near future.. $20 min EFTPOS is a bit of a joke though..

This pub is round the corner from my house so location wise, its perfect, that and its right next to the train station should I want my friends to join me no one will be drinking and driving on my watch. The pub atmosphere surprised me as I initially thought it would be a bit (call me Ms. Judgemental) yobby! Turns out, the pub gets an array of people from all walks of life who all share a mutual purpose, having a drink and/or the pokies. The only thing is the pub could do with a pool table, that way I would be more inclined to visit and stay, for more than one drink. On the plus side, the staff members are reasonably nice and the food is as can be expected from a pub meal. In short, this is a great stop over pub,for a meal or a couple of drinks but you wouldnt want to spend a day there unless you were a gambler...

What's not to like?, Great location, friendly staff, nice decor, good pub grub. One of the classier pubs in the area... mind you that wouldn't be too hard though :)
