Hotel Metropolitan

I really can't say that this is one of the best pubs in North Melbourne, particularly since it gets really crowded on a Friday night, so crowded that it can be an adventure getting from one side of the front bar to the other. It does have a fine dining restaurant, and some decent drawings of cricketters on the wall, as well as outdoor seating, though once again it can be the luck of the draw when it comes to actually finding a place to sit down (I was lucky when I passed through here). I guess crowded pubs are not really my scene, because it can be really difficult getting around without spilling your drink (which I generally seem to be able to do without much difficulty). Once again, it is not necessarily a bad pub, but there is nothing about it that stands out to draw me back here again.

Had a great dinner here last week. Top quality nosh. I believe it is all freshly made and it certainly tasted so with great depth of flavour to the Pork Belly dish I had. My friend had the Duck Salad which he claimed was awesome. Good selection of craft beers too which was impressive.
