Consultations can be made Monday to Saturday during business hours. After hours appointments are available, and can be made between the hours of 6.30pm and 8.30pm.

Dr. Michael Elek grew up in Melbourne and graduated from Melbourne University in 1994 as a Bachelor of Veterinary Science.
Dr. Michael is experienced in both large and small animal practice. He has extensive experience in medical, emergency and surgical procedures.
He began his career in a rural practice in country Victoria - Alexandra, before moving to the UK. After gaining membership into the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, he practiced in a small animal clinic in Chesterfield before returning to Melbourne where he has worked both in practices and as a Locum before starting House Calls for Pets in ...read more

Thank you to Dr Michael, today I had to say goodbye to my beautiful cat, I didn't want to put her in a basket and drive her to a vet and wait in the waiting room, that is not a nice way to spend your last hours, Dr Michael is an earth angel for animals, a beautiful way for the pets you love to go in their own home with just a few minutes of stress then beautiful peace...... House Calls For Pets is a no brainer. No stress for pets and owners. A better diagnosis can be obtained by having pet examined at home. Prices are competitive with any clinic. Dr Michael is the best vet I have come across over the many years of being a pet owner. His care for our pet and our mental well being was impressive. Only wish I had known of Dr Michael and his house call service earlier.
I can't believe I didn't think of a house-call vet service earlier. Michael's prices are essentially on par with the vet clinic I (used to - no longer) go to, and you can't put a price on the huge stress reduction in trying to get your pet into a cage, then into the car, then out of the cage at the vets (my pet would never want to come out).
Moreover Michael clearly has a lovely affinity with animals, ensured my pet was as calm as possible before the examination began and I felt he spent sufficient time for the consultation - it wasn't hurried or stressed. Payment is easy - you can pay by credit card and he emails you the receipt.
I would definitely recommend this service and I will certainly be a repeat customer.
