Hughies Hard Yakka did the tree lopping job for our complex on 17/12/2014. The job was poorly done. After remove 5 trees, they left all 5 big stumps in the ground without grinding properly. Grinding was included in the original quotation. The team leader was lied to us about the tree grinding, he said they can not go any further as it might damage other tree roots and cause the tree fallen down. As we don't have any experience for this kind of job so we thought the job was acceptable. Then they were chasing up the payment immediately and very aggressively. As an onsite manager from a good will, we paid on behalf the body corporate for the whole payment, in order for they to have a nice Christmas Holiday. I would not recommend this business.
Arranged for them to remove a palm tree but the only time that their cherry picker was available was when I was on holidays. Gave them the go ahead to do the work in my absence as site access was not an issue.
Was only after I returned from holidays that I discovered that they had also damaged (and subsequently removed) a stunning 8 metre high yukka.
They phoned me 3 times in the 24 hours immediately following the job chasing payment but not once advised that they had damaged and removed another tree.
Was promised a replacement plant when I rang to complain, but it has been 4 weeks and I've seen nothing.
I would never use this business again and would advise others to stay clear unless you are available to watch them through-out the job.
Business and since come on site to made good on this issue.
Am happy with the result and would have no issues recommending this business to future clients.
