The best part about this place is the views - fantastic. Also the drive from Shellharbour was very scenic and had varied terrain. We did the tree top walk but the zip line tours looked great fun as well, very safe and very organised. The cafe was reasonably priced and the food looked nice which is unusual for such attractions!.
We only decided to go to the illawarra fly because we saw an ad in the imag for $11 entry before 11am. The ad said that we only needed to mention the ad so we didn't take the magazine. When we arrived, there was no one at the ticket counter so we had to try to locate someone inside who was off having a coffee. The staff member was extremely rude and didn't seem to know about the ad - she wanted us to show her the ad as she said they usually advertise for 10 percent off. We only got the deal after telling her that if we couldn't get the deal, we would leave. That said, we loved the walk. Our 3yo had a lot of fun counting the stairs of the tower!
One other thing worth noting is that the doors of the shop/cafe are very narrow - our pram didn't fit in the doors.
Everything the information above says is true - it's unique, it's interesting, the views are fantastic. A little bit freaky as you move a bit on the 'cantilevered arms', but that adds to the fun of it all. Worth a visit, haven't been to anywhere like it anywhere else.
