I have been going to Irene's Dry Cleaning for 10 years. I would not trust anyone else with my wardrobe. Emanuel takes pride in his work, knows both textile fibre and manufacturing techniques to the point of always researching new technology as it becomes available. I am always welcomed by name and a smile.
Terrible Service! Had been going here regularly until they ruined my dress!!
First of all the dress wasn't ready when they initially told me to pick it up, then they didn't even have the decency to tell me they had ruined my dress. After noticing my dress was ruined I then returned to the shop which they were so rude and snatched the dress off me and said they will need it for a week to try and fix it. They were unable to fix the dress and then tried to blame it on a manufacturing problem refusing to provide a refund even after providing a receipt.
Now I am left with a damaged dress, no reimbursement for the dry cleaning bill or the ruined dress!! Do not trust this dry cleaner with your clothes!
Dear KLewis/Kelly Justyna, I totally agree with you, the personal and hurtful experience you write about sounds terrible and unacceptable to anyone. It sounds to me you had been a long standing client and have been hurt by this situation. My trusted staff are equally disappointed by your personal incident which you describe.
However, your personal description leaves me a little confused as it's inconsistent to my approach. Anyone who knows my business would tell you that I am generally at the counter. In case I missed something, I checked our records to locate you by name. Unfortunately I could not find you which is troubling because what you describe we'd have taken steps to rectify the situation and you would not be unknown to us. As an atelier service, we know most of our clients by name. I study most garments, consult with my clients, warn them of any possible dangers we may face and only then with their permission, we proceed.

We too, do experience difficulties with clothing from time to time. If the colour ran as it seems to me was your experience, we would get two professional peer opinions, speak to the manufacturer or the place of purchase and advocate on your behalf. Our standard practice.

Funnily enough, I ended up here by mistake the first time round when I was looking for a similarly named cleaners in the same area. But I'd never go anywhere else and am so lucky I made that initial mistake. These guys know their stuff, and can work wonders but they also know when they can't and they'll set your expectation, and educate you on how to deal with stains etc. The care they put into their cleaning is exceptional and so there are so many small touches of amazing service (including the wonderfully friendly chats each time); needless to say I couldn't recommend them highly enough.
