Don't bother going. We have wanted to stop in for ages so gave it a try. It is terrible sushi. The gyoza was the frozen type and under deep fried??. We could not eat it. The Inari too sweet. I am not sure how they made the karaage but it was weird and still floury. The names of the sushi left us wondering what was in them and we could not tell by sight through the sauces. We left very disappointed. I hope they improve. Please smile, staff behind the counter, you looked really grumpy.
This place is a real gem hidden away in an awkward little outside corner of the shopping centre complex, do yourself a favour and find it! The menu is small and simple, being basic Sushi and a few traditional Japanese soups and dishes, don't let the simplicity fool you the food is excellent! Always fresh and prepared while you watch, the Chefs, is that the correct name for culinary artists?, are always helpful with any questions and will 'custom make' a dish if you have particular tastes. The Hostess is always warm and very inviting and will do her best to make you enjoy the experience, her usual reply to any request is a broad smile and 'No worries' in a Japanese accent. They do take away as well if you are pushed for time.
Food quality 11/10. Staff friendliness 11/10 Shop cleanliness 10/10
Prices, very reasonable. Just watch out for the Sake, powerful stuff!!
