My husband and I stayed here for a weekend getaway during the very cold month of June this year. The historic feel to the place is entrancing as is the beautiful warm fire that you can sit by and enjoy a warming cognac. The service was attentive, warm and welcoming from reception to the information desk in the ticketing office and for anyone that has been to Jenolan Caves remembers the sheer elegance of the caves. Having not been to Jenolan Caves since I was a child it was amazing to experience it from an adult perspective. Great food, ambience, relaxation and memories
I stayed here last weekend for a wedding in the Jenolan Caves. Each room has a country-style feel to it, however you can tell that they're are very well maintained. The meals are delicious, however the creme brulee was not to everyone's liking. The wait staff are friendly and make you feel very welcome.
The reception room was a good size to fit 90 people, but while they claim to fit up to 120, it wouldn't be very comfortable squeezing in many more people if you're having a sit down meal. It would probably be fine if you were only having a cocktail party.
As for the tours they run, there was a great balance between education and enjoyment. Plenty of photos were taken, but the breathtaking rock formations just have to be seen in real life!
