Really happy with these vets and all the staff. I asked about boarding kennels and they recommended one at Blackheath that are really good. Their vaccination policies are sensible and they give good advice. Also their prices are reasonable. I like that they have 4 or 5 vets there so you can always get a 2nd opinion easily with no trouble.

To add to my previous comment, a year later I have found that my dog is 2 years overdue for his vaccinations. I was unaware of this as Katoomba Vet had charged me for these vaccinations only a year ago without actually doing it. Upon ringing Katoomba vet they have denied ever vaccinating him to further prove my point. I was rudely hung up and told it was my fault for not asking for vaccination papers as proof.
I would recommend trying any other vet before this one as I have spent a lot of money for nothing
I have just moved to the blue mountains, after going on google and reading the reviews for multiple vet clinics in my area I decided that Katoomba was the one that all people spoke highly of. I was not disappointed!!! Lovely lovely bunch of people who are so friendly and always have a smile on their face. They ask how my day has been and are really down to earth and really want to help!!!
I will never ever return to katoomba vet! My dog was brought into this vet as he ran away. Not only did they charge me a massive holding fee of $100. But they also gave him vaccinations and worming without asking and charged $150. If they asked they would've realised he wouldn't have needed this as I go to a different vet because they have been very unprofessional in the past and the rudest staff I have encountered from any business.
They then charged me a food and water bill of $50 saying he was hungry as he hasn't been fed, knowing that he ate a huge amount of food only an hour before He arrived at the vet.
Not only that, they refused to release him without proof of payment for the treatment I did not approve of.
I do not recommend taking your animals to this vet, they will reach into your pockets and take three times more than any other vet.
