We booked an 8 night stay at Kingfisher Bay over Xmas and New Year and had mixed results.

My wife and I stayed here and enjoyed ourselves. Pool was a great hangout for reading and having a few drinks from the pool bar. We had upgraded to an ocean view, but wasn't really worth it (view is limited from the rooms). But loved the staff, particularly our bus driver for the tour of the island.
Don't think I could say a bad thing about this fabulous place and thats not at all like me. From the moment they meet you at Hervey Bay Airport and bus/ferry you there, to the welcome drinks, and great service, its all good. The island has a great vibe, the food is great, the staff are fantastic, special mention to Becky (she prob won't remember us but we'll never look at flies the same way again). The island is beautiful and its obvious the staff are proud of it. The restaurants are both reasonably priced for quality food. GO THERE!
