Avoid leasing cars through this criminal business. We leased two cars through them for almost 3 years, paid them around 30 thousand dollars, were two weeks behind in payments but stayed in constant communication with them and were literally a DAY away from paying up to current, when we looked out the window and a tow truck was outside, one hour before we were due to pick up 6 children from school. With the courtesy of a phone call half an hour before this happened and a refusal to negotiate on a single thing. My two eldest children had to walk home from school which risked their safety and thank God they were OK, but the behaviour of this business after we have given them so much money is absolutely DISGRACEFUL and they should be absolutely ASHAMED. I have not ruled out taking legal action either. Absolutely horrible, evil. Bad bad karma headed your way Steve.
Thanks to Campbell for his very polite and curtious manner in helping us buy a Holden Colorado from their lot. We found everyone was pleasant and helpfull with our questions, and I have to say that this was probably the best car yard I have dealt with in over 40 years.
Campbell was great as to get good service without feeling that you are being sold a USED CAR and quickly pushed along a process.
Thanks to Koala Cars for helping us in our purchase. Will definetly have no hesitation in recommending you.
Thanks again, Trevor and Elizabeth
Bought a Citroen in Nov '15. drove the car for about 2 weeks before it had to go back for a faulty fuel pump (which they assured me was replaced at the time of purchase). I only noticed this because of a strong fuel smell which the car emitted ever since day 1. They were not even willing to organise a loan car for me until my partner spoke with them. While their 'mechanics' were replacing the fuel pump, they broke the fuel tank which they so kindly 'sublet'. Once I received the car back it was having trouble selecting and changing gears. Then about a week after I got it back, it turned off after beeping three times on a hill and caused an accident involving two cars. This was over Christmas so the car yard was not open for me to inform them of this. Unfortunately I did not receive Christmas holidays and was on my way home from work a few days after this happened and my car once again turned off on a busy off ramp, blocking traffic and almost causing a major ...read more
We are very sorry for the trouble you had with your car. It is very difficult to find intermittent electrical faults in a vehicle and we have failed to satisfactorily repair it. As such we have sent it to a Citroen specialist mechanic to find the problem and fix it for you. It has not helped that on occasions when warning lights have come on in the vehicle you have continued to drive the car until it has stopped completely, nevertheless we intend to get to the bottom of the issue and fix it properly for you. While we agree that there has been problems with your car, we have provided you with a car to drive while your car has been getting repaired and we have done our best to help you every step of the way. That being said we do understand (and share) your frustration. Rest assured your car will be fixed as we have promised. We hope that when this issue is sorted out you will come on here and write us a good review.
Was considering changing the review up until we discovered a brand new chip in the windscreen and scratches all down the side of the car that weren't there prior to giving the car to your shop, but without "before" pictures that can't be proved.
I was cautiously optimistic about purchasing a Nissan X-trail from Koala Cars. They offered the best price in town and seemed a professional business. I negotiated a good package with Koala Cars that included the extras that I needed. About four months after acquiring the car, I started to experience major problems with the vehicle. My local Nissan dealership (where I serviced the car) diagnosed the problem as sludge in the engine oil. The vehicle's three year manufacturer's warranty had just lapsed by one month, and despite lengthy verbal and written communication with Nissan Australia, they were decidedly unhelpful in trying to resolve this issue. Their resolution included quoting some $16,000 for labour and parts to install a replacement engine, which I obviously considered absolutely ridiculous. I contacted Koala Cars to explain the issue to the management. Where Nissan Australia was unable to help me, Koala Cars stepped in and were willing to assist me. ...read more
I bought a car from them a while back. I was still a learner, did not know much about cars. I bought this, believing dealers are the best people to buy car with as surely they are required to ensure the roadworthy of the car. My dad tested it for me briefly on the road and thought it was ok. When I picked it up a few days later, the true smell presents itself 1/2 hour into driving it. Extremely strong cigarette smell. We took it back they just sprayed air freshener and told me it will go away. Took it home.... smell remains.... Realised later that the coin box was filthy with cigarette ash, fully lined the interior of the box. Disgusting. Then I realised the handbrake, when pulled, did not stop the car from moving. I thought it was supposed to be used along with pedal break. Then a few months later, I finally find time to take driving lessons. The teacher told me that my handbrake was faulty. He tried it multiple times, the car continued to move forward unless I keep my ...read more
Unfortunately, I was not aware of any problems with your car, so please accept my apology. I would like to offer you a full car detail and AC pollen filter which will eliminate the odour. Upon reviewing your mechanical receipts, if we find our workshop missed anything I will also compensate you for any mechanical repairs not of a service nature. I do not know who you are so I cannot check the age of the car. The easiest method is to look on the safety cert where it is legally recorded.
