Laguna Oriental & Indonesian Supermarket

This is my fav, all my Asian food needs & we love the dumplings, prices cheaper than mainstream supermarkets

This is the first Laguna which is very popular located in the heart of Glenferrie Rd Hawthorn right next to Nelayan, a popular Indonesian retaurant. This grocery store is mostly buzzing with people queuing at the cashier, strewn boxes around the very narrow alleys. Very well stocked with Asian herbs and spices, seasonings, sweets, fresh fruits and vegetables, freshly made Indonesian 'street' snacks, frozen foods even some Indonesian brand soaps, ointments and the likes. Be sure to check all use-by dates of the items you buy though as some of the stocks were past their use-by or best before dates!! I'm not sure if they do refunds but the service is no good most times. Forget about taking prams inside. The city branch is much newer, more spacious and well lit.
