Lake Boga Observatory
Lake Boga Observatory
Welcome to the clear sky of Lake BogaHoliday time in Victoria has never been better. Lake Boga (which is regarded as the jewel in the crown of the Swan Hill region) is just 17Km from Swan Hill on the Murray Valley Highway.
The observatory has four main telescopes and all are accessible on flat ground (no stairs to negotiate) enabling ease of viewing. See Jupiter with its cloud bands and moons or Saturn with its spectacular rings, all possible with our auto guided tracking Telescopes. These planets and many more wonderful objects in the night sky are able to be seen at different times of the year (weather permitting).
Lake Boga is just far enough away from the larger town of Swan Hill not to be affected by the city's lights.
