My Family just returned from a trip to Tasmania and was quite appalled with the standards at Lake Saint Clair Lodge.
I was very disappointed with the unclean state it was in. When we checked in, the room had a stale odour, and below is a list of things we found;
Walls stained and not clean in bathroom
Dirty light switches
Dirty dishcloths left under sink;
Dirty walls in bathroom;
Shower very dirty, had to wear thongs
Dirty toilet bowl
Dirty range hood in kitchen
Unwashed utensils/cutlery, I had to wash everything we used first(lucky I had some clean tea towels on me)
Dirty/dusty floors upstairs
Broken sliding door
No winders on windows
Dead flies on floor
At a very expensive cost of $410.00 per night
Extremely pleasant. The lakeside bungalows were gorgeous and huge....the fireplace was up and ready, and they had nice oil reed diffusers that made the whole place smell heavenly. Everything was brand new and well thought through. Everyone in my big group were really happy with the stay despite being just one night. It was really worth our splurge.
Flight with kids never easy (more like a nightmare.) Still getting here to Lake St Clair National Park whole family calmed down, its' like being in the lap of god. Lake St Clair Lodge is beautiful, see our family blog from the trip. We made many friends there. In general we were treated like royal family there. See our blog on the national park it is fantastic.
