Lakehouse Caf is located on the shores of beautiful Lake Macquarie tucked away amongst a beautiful Aussie Native Forest of high Gums, with Wattle and natural landscaped gardens. The food here is International Quality. Management know their business. There are some very nice wines hiding in the cellar.
My wife and I bathed in our lunch.......seriously sensational food.....
We ordered mains and desserts only. House made ricotta and vegetable lasagne, roasted tomato sauce, goats curd and salad; and Confit pork belly with celeriac puree, seasoned Spring greens and poached red wine pear. Both mains were impeccable.
For Desserts we both chose to languish in Sticky date pudding with butterscotch sauce and vanilla bean ice-cream and then also a second dessert - Trio of mixed gelatos and sorbet with pistachio praline....... we forgot about our diets from the first mouthful and at $48 per head, we left - pleasantly fulfilled!
