Decided to stop off for lunch again at the Legends Bakery as our first visit had been good, this time however, it wasn't quite the same experience. The sandwich bar was closed, so there were no sandwiches, rolls or wraps to be had and pies didn't come with salad either :-(. The staff were very friendly but the variety of cakes available was very poor, just a handful of choices :-( I must say the sausage roll was yummy, full of flavour and large chunks of onion. Hubby had the steak pie and that was full of a rich thick *gravy* and bite site pieces of steak. Pastry was lovely and I certainly can't fault that. We did have the butterfly cupcakes (after all with no salad one pie/one sausage roll wasn't really a meal) The cakes were good, full of fresh cream, moist and came with a layer of strawberry jam under the cream. Bit of a different visit today, it just seemed tired and a few customers left when they realised they could only get a pie or sausage roll.
This place is amazing, with seating to have a meal inside, you get an amazing range/choice of pies, sandwiches, salad, lasagna and so much more. Where can you get a coffee, pie and salad for just $6 these days and I don't mean a stingy salad of some lettuce and a slice of tomato! Their sandwiches are lovely with fresh bread baked in store and the range of cakes is impressive - the butterfly cupcakes are Delicious. The staff were so helpful and friendly, definitely 10/10!
