Whay a shame the owners haven't read these reviews and do something about it. We walked in a few weeks back as we have just bought a house in Drouin. Nobody greeted us or offered us a table! The lights were so bright and there was no atmosphere, a few candles on the tables some customer service training would help. We walked staright out and spent money eleswhere. Was v dissapointed. As the restaurant looks so inviting from the outside. As a customer service trainer I'm happy to assist. Maybr well give it another go to assess the food. They nèed to up there game to improve their business as competition will grow as Drouin expands. Othet restos here and in nearby Warragal offer great customer service.
The reviewer below is obviously mistaken. I've dined at Luciano's a few times and my partner and I always know to book on a Friday and Saturday night as they are generally booked out. We have sat on a table of 4 just the 2 of us with no problems. He or she is obviously making assumptions without checking facts. We enjoy the staff and food of this premise.
Der, we were are walk in. There was only a few tables occupied. Most (90%) were empty. There was a couple of tables with "reserved" on them. The slackers couldn't/wouldn't change a 4 person table to a 2 person table. We made no "assumptions". The fact was "they" didn't want to serve us. In my whole life (47 years) I have never been refused a table. Even when I was in PNG I could get a table. Maybe the "lefty" should listen rather than preach. Fact is we had a bad experience (along with many others). They might have had a good experience. It only prooves we all don't live in "make beleive land". This Joint only rates on my cr#p meter. I'm not "obviously mistaken" More lefty talk. I know what my wife and I experienced. Why because I was there. Lefty wasn't. I won't go back for a round two because there are better places around town.
Der... they only reserve tables in the bar area when the restaurant area Is fully booked out.
They must be earning too much. We were a walk in couple. 6pm on one hot Saturday night. They only had a few people in. We asked for a table of two. They couldn't break up a 4 person table. They weren't interested in seating us all. I have lived in the area for 44 years and couldn't get a seat in this place. Very poor service. So we went down to other restaurant, they gave us a seat in a packed house and we had a great meal. They got our $134. We wont go back to Luciano's again and we will make sure our friends know how bad they are.
Maybe you should have booked. They do get booked out on a Friday Saturday evenings. Just because it looked empty when you came in doesn't mean that they didn't have people booked in at 6.30pm. I know for a fact that they would sit you dkwn on a table of 4 if they could have spared it.
Four of us went for our birthdays.
We asked for chips with our flathead tails and were told chips were not served. So we opted for vegetables.
When our meal arrived we were served half cooked frozen vegetables. We expected fresh in season vegetables. Our local pubs serve fresh vegetables, but not Lucianos.
The fish was soggy. We expected it to be crisp.
The wait staff forgot our water order.Staff remembered our wine order.
We tried to attract the wait staff attention to order our desert.Staff was too busy wiping down tables. After a while our order was taken.
Our desert was Baileys irish cream cheesecake. We reckonmd it was at least few days old as it had shrunk away and was very stodgy..
On our previous visit we had been charged for coke drinks which we had not ordered.
Never again.
We expected a special meal and it was anything but special.
