Maid & Magpie

This place has definitely changed. Okay, I haven't been a regular visitor, but when I was last here it was little more than a tired old inner suburban pub. However it now seems to be one of those must go places where all of the young and trendy people can be found. When I came here recently,they had sealed off a part of the carpark and turned it into and outdoor beach bar. However I have to say that it was absolutely packed, though that may have something to do with it being Christmas Eve when I came here (though we did visit a couple of other pubs and they were nowhere near as packed). However it certainly seems to have had a face lift, and has succeeded in drawing the crowds out from the city.
