Maid Of Auckland Hotel

I must say that this is a pretty ordinary pub, but since the Avoca is almost directly across the road it has some pretty stiff competition. In fact the only reason that I have ever come here is to compare it to the Avoca and the Avoca always comes out on top. They were in the process of refurnishing it when I last visited, but it seems like they have gotten rid of the beer garden so all that is left is a restaurant, a front bar, and some pokies. They do have tables out the front where you can sit by the road, however they are generally only used by the smokers in the front bar. Mind you, the beer garden that they did have was actually quite decent, so I really have no idea why they ended up getting rid of it. However, it is not really a place that I would make a habit of visiting.

Good food though a bit slow on taking our order. Otherwise not bad.
