Maitland Public Hospital

I recently had a serious medical condition and attended the Maitland Public Hospital. I was treated in the emergency, CCU and medical ward. I was very impressed with the level of treatment I received. I would like to thank all involved in my treatment and recovery. The staff were professional, informative, pleasant and even though working under pressure still maintained their human touch.

I attended the Hospital on Wednesday the 7th of Sept for a Colonoscopy to be performed by Dr Vakil. Whilst apprehensive the experience of admission and surgery was very professionally handled.
Everyone was positive and and went out of their way to be helpful
After coming out of the anesthetic the quality of sevice by the nursing staff was excellent.
Having lived in every State of Australia and time overseas I have experienced several hostpitals and can assure you that Maitland is the best by far.

I recently suffered a broken leg and was taken to Maitland hospital and even before I got out of the car there was help available even though they are extremely busy, while I was there I can give nothing but the best commendation for doctors etc. doing a great job but mainly the nurses, honestly they give above and beyond, always helpful very nice, without them the hospital would not function, it is actually hard to leave cause your so well looked after, if your patient, nice and polite even though u may be in pain u wont be disappointed!

My youngest daughter was transfered to the Paediatric Unit in Maitland Hospital from another hospital and i am glad she was the staff are wonderful, extremely friendly, and extremely helpful if any of the staff from the Paediatric Unit at Maitland Hospital ever read this thank you greatly what you done for me and my family was so wonderful.

I saw the midwife clinic during my pregnancy and also birthed there. The nurses were great support and assistance from beginning to end. There is parking available for $4 or if you are lucky limited free parking up the street.

I have been fortunate enough not to need any operations or visit relatives in hospital for a very long time, the one time that I was recently an inpatient the nurses were once again friendly and relaxed me before the operation. I was so impressed with their service I wrote them a thankyou letter.
