I recently had my wedding (november 2013) in Mercy hall function room of Mamre homestead & everything went fantastic, plenty of food, the staff where fantastic & friendly & very accommodating. I couldn't have wished for a better day/ evening.
To the other reviewer Louisvu of Mamre homestead has recently changed wait staff & the management including dismissing the chef & manager that you would have had back in April 2013 & it has made the world of difference. I too had booked with the previous management & i agree 100% that they were very unorganized, i also had major problems while they were there but since the staff changes have occurred i would have to say it is 100% for the better. I would & have recommended to everyone. A+++
We recently had an engagement party here. The service was horrible both leading up to the night and on the night. There was no communication prior to the function although numerous calls were made. Details of the function were mixed up and not organized. There were only two waiting staff to serve cocktail food for 85 guests and the food was coming out too slow. Guests left hungry. Think twice about choosing this venue.
Only positive wad the court yard was lovely in the evening.
