Mao Cai

Located at the newly opened Hawkers Lane at Westfield Chatswood, Mao Cai serve the locals with authentic chinese wok fried dishes. The food hall type area are relatively busy and has the hawker style ambiance to it and allows you to be very experimental with your food, and Mao Cai gives you just that.

We ordered the wok fried seafood. At $19.80, we did not expect too big of a serve, which was exactly the case, but the presentation was quite good as it was presented on a large wok. The mixed seafood was delicious, and definitely spicy with the addition to the chilli oil. It also comes with a bowl of rice which of course could calm your nerves down a bit. The cooking took a bit of a time but not too long to make you wonder.
