McDonald's

Moving from the old food court above (as they were knocked down to make way for a new H&M store), McDonalds at Westfield Bondi Junction is now located on street level right next to one of the busy entrances at Bronte Road. The atmosphere feels nothing like your run-on-the-mill McDonalds restaurants, but rather a cafe like ambiance with wooden decor. The dining area is very limited and quite packed, with mostly high stool seats facing the wall or facing other stores, two tables for four people each and two small round tables with stools.

You can place your order with the staff at the counter or you can use one of the three self service touch screen monitors which was quite easy to use and very intuitive. You'll be then given a number and just wait until it is called out. The waiting time is quite reasonable despite being constantly busy. Sadly, the lack of time for the staffs has translated to occasional overflowing of rubbish on the dining area.

Not very cool to make the customer feel like they are inconveniencing staff to order a coffee. If you don't want to make it you shouldn't put it on the menu
