Meihua Vietnamese & Chinese Restaurant

Very disappointed with my meal this evening. I'm a regular at this restaurant (I always order take away except for tonight).Order the same meal every time. I explained to the staff member that there seemed to be something wrong with my meal and staff became very defensive about it. Very rude and so disappointed. I will now think twice about ordering from this place again. It was my number one Chinese restaurant in Darwin.

Went to Meihua Vietnamese Restaurant on Friday night with 5 friends- best tasting food we have had for ages- ordered 1 fried rice, I curry, one Beef, I omelette, 1 pork dish- with drinks, inc 2 bottles white wine- total price $242.00 or under $ 50 per person- service good and getting better each time we visit- we just made a table booking for 10 for New Years Eve- thoroughly enjoyable night out - thanks to all involved

Pretty good food. Vietnamese dishes here are better than at other places in Darwin offering Vietnamese food (that I've tried so far.) The low score is for the lack of organisation of the place which really affects the service. Dining in, we had to wait a long time to have our order taken despite the restaurant only having our table of 2 and one big group table going at the time. We had to make sure we got attention, we had to work to be acknowledged and served. Placing a takeaway order is a similar experience - being put on hold straightaway only to spend minutes hearing all the background activity, eventually realising that the person who took the call has forgotten you're still waiting on the line. It's a shame the service is so unpolished because the food is decent.
