Melbourne Wholesale Flower Market Tours
A wonderful experience visiting the Melbourne Wholesale Flower Market Trading floor and Distribution centre during operating hours. Purchasing is possible. Located in EppingExperience the trade, interact with the sellers and buyers and enjoy the excitement of visiting these new facilities of the Melbourne Wholesale Flower markets now in Epping, with C the Market Tour Operators. The markets are closed to the public and our tours are one of the only ways a non-accredited person can go on site behind the boom gates. We offer access for all those who wish to join our fully escorted comprehensive tour through the trading floor of these authentic wholesale markets.
Starting at 5.00am, we visit the Flower Market when the florists of Melbourne, the event planners and the wholesalers are all trying to pick up the best and freshest of blooms available. All tours finish by 7.30am. Refreshments, a knowledgeable & comprehensive commentary, use of compulsory high visibility vest, a focus on any areas of special interest & the opportunity to meet and engage with the traders is all included during the morning's tour. Tours are available each Saturday, as a Business Orientation or a Private booking.
It is possible to purchase any of the flowers or plants offered for sale during your time on tour.....limited only by how much you can carry. No fee parking is included in ticket price.
Cost per person is $63 with discounts for multiple tickets.

I've personally done this tour four times now and can thoroughly recommend it to anyone who is interested in how your food is handled before it gets to your local greengrocer. Jan has a comprehensive understanding of the history and day-to-day operations and is very generous with that knowledge. If you have a particular reason for being there, she will go out of her way to accommodate your requirements. It's an early morning, but well worth the effort.
We're now in Epping and running seperate tours for the Flower Market and the Fruit & Vegetable areas. We recommend the Flower Market as the tour most suitable for the general public visits. The F&V areas are also available to tour but most of those tours are geared toward Industry & Educational visits. Cheers Jan
