Memories Function Centre

I recently had my wedding at Memories Function Centre for just shy of 100 guests. It was the most fantastic night ever and I would recommend Memories to everyone for a wedding or special event. The functions manager worked closely with my fiance and I to plan the wedding of our dreams. It was 100% perfect on the night and I could not have asked or hoped for more. Memories also had all their own table decorations and chair covers which we got to pick from. They took care of all the set-up and clean up and the room looked amazing on the night. The food was restaurant quality and the staff were attentive and highly professsional. Our family and friends commented for weeks after about how good the customer service was and how stunning the room looked. It was an amazing night. Thanks Memories for giving us the wedding of our dreams!

Memories is a lovely looking venue. I recently decided to hold my 21st birthday here, based on the images from the amazing website (and a quick inspection), and the food offered for guests on the night. While it was a memorable one, I would recommend not to have high expectations of this place. It's over priced, and really the only thing special is the decor. The food was expensive per head, and was very basic finger food you would see at a house party thrown together. Drinks are also costly. I also paid a considerable amount to have a "DJ" for the night, however this turned out to be a laptop set up at the back of the room, with itunes left to play the whole night. Rarely, as they were understaffed, was someone there for us to request a song, or skip one we did not wish to hear (or that was not appropriate), and we certainly were not allowed to go near the laptop, even after repeated requests to change a song.
