An informal and welcoming osteria, the open spaces allow for all kinds of social gatherings from casual get-togethers to family celebrations.
Dishes laden with Italian delights designed to share are delivered with a flourish to the table including favourites such as polenta with duck ragu, seared tuna carpaccio and the char-grilled lamb cutlets.

Like many European countries Italy is a number of different regions. Merchant takes its inspiration from the Veneto region and its regional dishes. The menu is written in a Veneto dialect but is easily understood and staff is more than happy to clarify. The zucchini flowers were wonderful and there are many fabulous seafood offerings. Try the bombatella doughnut- filled with nutella and panacotta and I can guarantee you will see nutella in a whole new light!
