We shopped here today & intended to purchase fresh prawns but were so taken with the fresh appearance of the Tuna we bought that instead. I commented to the shop assistant that it looked very fresh & they did not reply. That in itself should have rung Alarm bells. On returning to our accommodation we unwrapped the Tuna & noticed it was a very bright pink colour. I have never seen this before. Fresh Albacore Tuna is white & Yellow fin very red. Mistified we seared it on the Barbeque. We were horrified at the result; after just searing both sides & leaving the middle rare the fish started to break apart & pustules of blood started to break out of the side of the fish. Clearly this was NOT fresh Tuna & to make it worse they had coloured it an un natural pink colour using some sort of food colouring.
