Amazing place to discover a kitchen with a very good understanding of ingredient and flavour. The chef seems to have depth in their palate and experience

nice ambience for 8 seater with 7 course dessert degustation with non alcoholic drink pairing. Unusual ingredients but taste really and suprisingly is not really sweet!! really recommended

I'm in love with this place. I've walked in the rain and on the 1st day of winter just to get my favourite flavour ice cream which is salted cocount and mango. This isn't your usual ice cream folks, this is a party in your mouth !
Make sure you check the specials board which changes all the time and has both creative flavours and names.

Love the Messina Dessert Bar! I am a big fan of Gelato Messina, and the Dessert Bar did not disappoint. I found the gelato with the various add ons to be interesting and delicious ... as well as reasonably priced for the quality. My only gripe is the lack of seating. I much prefer to enjoy my dessert seated rather than standing or walking!

Not satisfied by the already insane crowds that often flock their gelato shops all across Sydney, Messina decided to up the ante by transforming what used to be their open lab into a dessert bar.

This new craze is situated right next to Gelato Messina at Darlinghurst. Although the shop is very limited in space, it has been refurbished to now have a livelier, fun atmosphere that most people, especially children, would find it hard to resist.

On the wall is the instruction on how to make your own dessert. In a nutshell, you select the base such as donut or brownies, top it with limited selection of gelato, and do some add-ons like cotton candy or various chocolate based sprinkles. The best of all, the taste was of high Messina quality. This experience made me feel like I was a kid again for just a moment. It was incredibly fun.
