Midtown Medical Clinic

Mid-town is a decent doctor's clinic (not bulk-billed) that's located in the heart of the CBD. It's right in the middle of Collins Street, near Australia on Collins shopping mall and so is easily accessible no matter which end of the city you live in. I come here mainly when I need to get travel vaccinations and if I have a cold or flu. The wait time is usually about 15minutes more than what've booked for but I suppose this is a normal practice for medical clinics. They also have a Japanese speaking nurse/doctor on site. They provide a wide range of services on site including pathology (for blood testing) and radiology which is nice and convenient.

I've recently gone to midtown medical clinic numerous times, not as a patient but as support for my wife when she cut the top off her finger. I guess you never really go to a medical clinic under positive circumstances. Despite the negative reasons, the staff at midtown medical turned these visits into a positive. On a few occassions the receptionists weren't so cheery (but we did have a few early morning appointments so perhaps they still needed their caffeine fix) but get past them & get to the doctors & the nurses & this is where midtown medical clinic really shines. They care. Its not a big thing really but it speaks volumes. If you are in the city & you need some tender, loving medicinal care, go to midtown medical. The only negative is they dont bulk bill -
