Milli Vini is a compact and busy restaurant as well as being one of my favorite restaurants in Sydney. I consistently have a really enjoyable dinners and good times with friends whenever I go.
The combination of a relaxed yet sophisticated decor and interior design combined with a good location makes this great for meeting friends or simply having a glass of wine and a snack with a friend after work.
The staff are super friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The food is contemporary Italian so if you want spaghetti and garlic bread this is NOT the place you are looking for. The wine list is also very good as well as offering delicious cocktails. It is also situated very close to Gelato Messina however I never have room after dining at Milli Vini.

This funky tapas and wine bar is a great place to meet friends for a bite and some booze. Despite being in the very central, hip, restaurant and bar mecca of Crown St, it almost feels as though you are in Melbourne. The room is black & the furniture jumbled, but has a fabulous atmosphere. It is loud and dark and always packed to the rafters full of an eclectic crowd of people chattering away and enjoying the fare. The wine list is quite comprehensive with a large number of Italian wines to choose from. The polite, eccentric waiter will help you select the perfect bottle or glass to go with your food. The food itself is delicious and perfect for nibbling. The arancini balls are cheesy and tasty, the grilled calamari with avocado tapenade are also a must-try as is the beef carpaccio. You cant book here, so be expected to wait for a seat or put your name down and go across the road for a drink beforehand.

Such a beautiful place to wine and dine
Greeted by a sweet Italian at the door .
I always look for a particular Italian Aperitif and this place had it !!
Starting with an Aperol ( the Aperitif drink i was after ) accompanied with some tasty olives complementary that went so well with our drinks
Service so personable and the candle lit room was just stunning
would be a great place for a first date
defiantly going back for a meal

This restaurant come wine bar might be tiny, but it packs a punch when it comes to good food, wines (only to be expected for a wine bar) and service.
I have been a number of times for various reasons and whether its a casual catch up, dinner date, after work drink or even a coffee you want, this place has the perfect mix of informal dining, dim mood lighting and intimate settings that you can find yourself comfortably chatting for hours.
What is great about it is that while it might be small and located on busy Crown street, the buzz of the traffic cannot be heard and the aromas from the open kitchen entice you to sample from the menu while you sip you glass of Chianti.
I suggest you share a few dishes and really sample the menu, the food is rich, modern Italian and delectable!

I've always walked past this place always thinking to myself that I 'must' go there! Well I finally did and I was pleased with the experience.

The funky intimate layout of the space and the cool wine bar mixed with the fantastic Italian tapas style menu creates a great night out. The night we went they placed us upstairs with a private group which the waiter was clearly focused on more than us, leaving us mid sentence as were ordering drinks and our mains.

The chefs should have been rewarded that night though because the food was fantastic. I had the lamb roast whilst we shared some great tasting Zucchini Risotto Balls for entre.

I highly recommended Mille Vini for a romantic night out with that someone special or even just with a close group of friends.
