Miss Mai

This is THE place to go for Vietnamese rolls in Adelaide - ask anyone I work with! It's true that there's closer spots (and maybe cheaper - though Mai isn't expensive by any means) but this is the only place we'll go.
Why? Well, the fillings are nicer, the bread is fresher, the dressings are tastier and the service is faster.
Can't really say much better than that. Head along and tell them Sean sent you!

It has been a while since I had come here for lunch but when a friend suggested it when we caught up for lunch, there was no hesitation to say no. Why? Because the Vietnamese meat rolls here are tasty, well the fillings I have anyways (Roast Pork mmmm...)

There are so many eateries that are popping up around the city now that are selling Vietnamese Meat rolls (Banh Mi) and I had yet to try Miss Mai as I would always refer back to one of my usuals... Gave this place a try last week and was pleased- it tasted as good as the other ones I've been having (There are a couple around the city I have come by at lunch time too and tried and they are not that great at all). Anyways I can now add this place to my Banh Mi lunch time list. The price is around the same price you lay across the road.

It was pouring so we ordered large chicken pho - we knew this would be sufficient however, after reading the reviews about the rolls we thought we'd better split a roast pork one. The pho arrived first. Delicious. Good flavoursome broth, good chicken and plenty of herbs and sprouts to add in. We were pretty full after the pho but had to try the roll - big chunks of crispy, crunchy roast pork with loads of carrot and cucumber etc. Yum!
