Modern Roof Restoration

I wouldnt recommend using modern roofing or guttering. After the job being completed (and paid for) over four months ago i'm still waiting for them to come back and complete the job properly.
In the process, they damaged my property, and my neighbours, little to no communication throughout the whole process. There is alot of overspray onto my 6month old white patio roof, paintwork is patchy (some tile ends/sides done, some not) my whirly bird is now blocked up with paint. instead of swapping out chipped tiles to the 12 spares i prepared they moved them lower to the edges of roof where they are easily seen - which led another leak and more damage.
The list goes on...
Bottom line, stay away from them, and if you have already engaged them, dont pay the bill until after it rains and you have inspected the roof closely!

My roof looks great, it's now leak free, service was impeccable, can't fault them on anything. Got mine done on the central coast, I guess cause Modern is such a large company they are going to have some unhappy customers which tend to voice their woes more than happy ones - so I'm happy to say that their price was good, their sales presentation was good, their reliability and service was good and my roof looks great.

Unfortunately I chose Modern Group for our solar hot water system. They provide no after sales service at all and their product is inferior. I have had to make 2 service calls in 3-4 months since the system was installed. On each occasion, they do not return phone messages nor do they actually come out to do the service call without continous telephone calls to chase them up. The first request took 5 phone calls over 2 1/2 weeks and the second request was almost 2 weeks ago with nothing heard. The second request concerns the water tank already displaying signs of rust. To top it off, the company phoned me between the first and second service calls to ask if I had heard of Modern Group and to market their group of companies. When I told the operator of my unsatisfactory experience, I was told that the Group were aware of there shortcomings and had personnel changes to rectify this. On the whole, i had a solid experience with this company. I just had my roof restored and the bloke came out and did a full inspection of my roof for free before quoting me a few thousand to do the whole job. My roof looks like new and they even cleaned up afterwards which was a nice touch.



I find the other review hard to believe, I think you added an extra 0 to the quote there.

The guy turns up without a ladder, looks up at my roof & says "sorry you will need to replace all tiles & i'm not game to get up there as your roof wont hold me" How would he know he had no intention of getting on my roof in his shiney shoes with NO LADDER.. Quotes me $38,000.

My roof has been fixed now $2000. the tiles will last me 50 years...
