We took Jason Mackay from Moorooka Wholesalers to court and won. He sold us a repariable write off vehicle and lied about it. It broke down the day after we got it, with more than $3000 worth of repairs needed and it was deemed 'undrivable' by a reputable Holden dealer. He owes us more than $13,000 and despite a court order - has not paid and has been very difficult to deal with. Stay away from this man and this dealer!
The experience that we have had with them has been absolutely disgusting. We bought a car from them on the 5 April 2014 and 6 weeks later the engine has packed up. The car was leaking oil, smoke was pouring from the engine and the final straw was when the car's cooling system could no longer cope and the engine started overheating. In the 6 weeks, we had to replace a wheel bearing and the CV boot is cracked so grease was leaking out. Their answer to our complaint is that it is out of the statutory warranty and there was nothing they could do. After a complaint to Fair Trade, we have been informed that they will repair it for us at trade cost.
DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM MOOROOKA WHOLESALE.
Stay away! Terrible service, quick to make the sale. Slow to fix the cars they sell. Very confrontational when approached about poor condition of vehicle sold. Left car with them for 1 week to be fixed. Not one thing was done to fix the car. Picked it back up and noticed an extra 100km on the odometer. Having to organise to take car back again. "New" battery in car is wrong type. Not even a close match, its for a 4 cyl ford, car is 6 cyl mitsubishi. So many other problems with vehicle.
