I probably should say ‘nothing to see here’ but it is still a pub, so I guess there is something here, and a reason for people to actually stop by for a bit. Well, it isn’t one of the best pubs that I have been to, but then again it really isn’t one of the worst either. Basically, it’s just a typical suburban pub, so I probably can’t criticise it for that. However, as I mentioned, it is a suburban pub, so don’t expect anything all that fancy here.
I went there with James and Marc this afternoon and we shared some Garlic Bread, Chips and Tomato Sauce and a Seniors Chicken Parmigiana. The staff were kind to us because they gave us extra chips instead of the salad that came with the Chicken Parmigiana and the service was excellent.
What a disappointment for us as seniors. We have dined there often but tonight the seniors turkey special was very disappointing. As seniors we do not expect a feast but we do not expect meat cut with the proverbial laser beam with partly cooked potatoes and poor vegetables. It appeared a cost saving exercise on behalf of the hotel. If they don't lift performance sadly we will go elsewhere.
Poor customer service. Never feel as if the customer is welcome or important. Staff often continue to do other duties rather than make customer service their main priority.
On a recent visit they did not honour their meal voucher and lost future business, any recommendations we might have given and a customer in the process. No attempt to help or do the right thing.
Management needs lessons in training their staff and how to deal with customers if they want to keep in business. Then again it all stems from the management in the first place so maybe they need better training from Head Office. No wonder management has changed hands so often and why the place looks empty most of the time.
